Rick Ambrose is Executive Vice President of Lockheed Martin’s Space Systems business area and an officer of Lockheed Martin Corporation. Space Systems is a more than $9 billion enterprise that employs approximately 18,000 people and provides advanced technology systems for national security, civil and commercial customers. Chief products include major systems for satellites, human space flight, strategic and missile defense, satellite command and control, sensor and data processing including predicative analytics and big data applications, space observatories and interplanetary spacecraft and a range of sensing, communications and exploration payloads.
With over 35 years of experience in the defense and aerospace industry, Ambrose has led a significant number of programs in support of military, commercial and national security missions. Previously, he was President of Lockheed Martin’s Information Systems & Global Solutions-National business, responsible for leading a 6,500-person organization serving the U.S. intelligence community and international partners.
Ambrose also served as Vice President and General Manager of the Surveillance and Navigation Systems line of business within Space Systems and prior to that, he led Mission Systems and Sensors Tactical Systems as Vice President and General Manager. He began his career with Lockheed Martin as Vice President of Ground Systems and Regional Executive of the Rocky Mountain region for the company’s Management and Data Systems and Astronautics Operations.
Before joining Lockheed Martin in 2000, Ambrose was Vice President of Space Systems for Raytheon’s Command, Control and Communications business segment and formerly served as President and General Manager for Space Systems, Hughes Information Technology Systems.
Ambrose chairs the Board of Directors for United Launch Alliance and was a 2017 recipient of the National Defense Industrial Association Space Division Peter B. Teets Award. He is also a National Association of Corporate Directors Governance Fellow, a Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and an International Academy of Astronautics Full Academician. He has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering technology from the DeVry Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Denver.
Debra Koenig is a business executive and board director with four decades of experience across multiple industries in both Fortune 200 and entrepreneurial and equity-backed companies.
Her executive experience includes operations and leadership roles in private and public companies within the franchised multi-unit retail, food manufacturing, and hospitality sectors. Debra has served as Chief Executive Officer of VICORP, a franchised restaurant company, and Division President of McDonald's Corporation, a Fortune 200 QSR company. She is the founder of Koenig & Co, providing consulting and expert witness services in the franchise and hospitality space. In addition, she and her husband Dick own Koenig Sales, a global firm serving the historic car industry.
Debra currently is the Chair of the National Association of Corporate Directors Colorado Chapter. She has board experience as Chair of Lube Holdings, Inc. and as a Director for VICORP Restaurants Inc, and Fitness Together Holdings. In addition, she has served as an Advisory Board Director for McDonald's Corp., Evolve (uniform manufacturing) and Blue Onion (full service advertising). She currently serves on Wings of Medina Liquidating Trust (full service restaurant) and GA Pincus Funds (a private investment firm).
She is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors and is a certified Board Leadership Fellow. She has been a member of the International Franchise Association where she became a Certified Franchise Executive (CFE). Debra holds a Master of Business Administration from Gannon University and Finance for Executives from Northwestern University.
